Why is a 2 oz packet of Ultimate Essiac Tea Powder so practical?

12 hrs after blended herbs are brewed in hot water the liquid needs to be stored in the fridge. Two quart Jars stand tall and take up less space in the refrigerator.  One 2 oz bag of herbs on average lasts one person 7 to 10 days. After a batch of powder is mixed with water and brewed to make a tea it usually stays good in the fridge for approximately 14 – 20 days.

Our Essiac Tea Powder Includes 20% Sheep Sorrel Root

Rene Caisse was very clear about sheep sorrel; “it can’t be just leaves”. The sheep sorrel has to contain the root at the right proportion – 20% root of the entire sheep sorrel plant. The dilemma is this…many herb farmers do not sell sheep sorrel with the root so a private grower was necessary. Therefore, if Essiac doesn’t contain the right amount of sheep sorrel root it won’t be nearly as effective. Seeing that, most commercial herbalists do not offer the root we did what was necessary to get it.

What is Essiac Tea Powder?

Essiac is a special blend of eight herbs in particular ratios, all of which are known to have immune-boosting, health-promoting qualities. When brewed like tea and consumed, Essiac is believed to fortify the immune system as well as assist the body in purifying itself of toxins. Consequently, the body becomes more capable of fighting off illness and disease. Essiac works along with, and enhances, the body’s ideal function.

Most Accomplished Essiac Research

The most comprehensive research ever accomplished on Essiac Tea was done in Cambridge Massachusetts in 1959-1967 by nurse Rene Caisse and Dr. Charles Brusch. Essiac is Rene’s surname (Caisse) spelled backwards.

This research closely tested the properties of the original four herb formula and required and additional four herbs to improve the formula. This research created a better eight herb formula which Rene Caisse ultimately endorsed as the best formula to use.

Her family lived near the research facility. They became friends with Dr. Brusch through a common friend Arthur David. He referred the family to the Essiac Tea formula in 1986. It worked so well that they referred many others to the formula and began to hold weekly meetings for Essiac users.

By 1992 this group becomes so large they were featured on an episode of the Cathy Burnham Show. Due to the enlarged demand for Essiac Tea as a result of the show, Dr. Brusch needed help to continue providing Essiac Tea at the best price so as many as possible could use it. Eventually he retired from the work and left the job to the ones that made the product. In order to carry on the legacy Rene Caisse pasted the formula on to Linda Paulhus and now it is in the hands of her family. That’s why it’s called genuine Essiac Tea.

Essiac Tea Instructions

It’s highly recommended that you brew your own Essiac Tea rather than purchase Essiac ready-made for your convenience. You’ll not only save money making your own, but you’ll probably get a more effective product. There’s nothing better than a fresh batch of home-brewed tea.

When you use powder there’s nothing difficult or time-consuming to brew a batch of Essiac Tea. Each packet of herb powder includes brief instructions for your convenience.

Do not brew Essaic to last more than two weeks ahead. Prepared Essaic Tea will stay good for about 14 days after that you should make a new batch so it stays fresh.

If you find it difficult to drink Essiac straight try mixing it with fruit or vegetable juice after you measure what you should have. It’s better to consume it cold. Heating it up again may alter its effectiveness.

Ideally you should drink Essiac on an empty stomach, avoid eating two hours before and one hour afterwards. Nonetheless, if you must eat or take Essiac at the same time it’s better to take it, than to skip it altogether. You can however take black coffee, tea or any beverage free of added sugar or protein, a supplement or medication during empty stomach time.

Essiac Side Effects

The only side effect reported is that some do go to the bathroom more often in the beginning. This is typically only a couple of days and a welcomed event considering some have a buildup in colon that’s good to get rid of. This is not diarrhea; it’s simply a comfortable increased frequency of bowel movements.

Brewing Instructions for 2 oz Bags of Powered Tea

In a stainless steel pot bring 68 ounces of spring water to a boil. Once the boiling starts you can reduce heat to medium and add the contents of one 2 oz packet of Ultimate Essiac. Thereafter, simmer for 10 minutes and occasionally stir. Then let the pot of tea set at room temperature for 12 hours.

Never strain out the herbs they are essential to get the best results. Immediately before you pour the brew into a two quart jar or sealed container stir the sediment so it doesn’t stick to the bottom. To accomplish and accurate dose a good stir is essential, for the herbs tend to settle at the bottom of the container. Store brewed tea in the refrigerator.

A container with a wide opening and fast release lid is the best way to ration your tea. Sediment settles quickly to the bottom so you need to have the ability to pour fast. A wide opening allows you to clean the jar before each batch. Therefore, a bottle you can easily clean, shake and pour is the best way to go.

Suggested Use 

Drink 2 to 3 fluid ounces 2 to 3 times per day. More complete instructions are sent along with the order.

Why are Powdered Herbs the Best?

Powdered herbs are made by crushing or grinding whole herbs. The resulting herbs look like what you would see inside a tea bag. Powdered herbs have more surface area for the extracts to seep into the tea.
