How to operate a Runt Stun Gun

The safety power switch on the side of the unit has 3 positions.  When the switch is in the bottom position it is off and works as a safety. When the switch is in its middle position the flashlight will turn on and be ready to activate.  The light will turn off and you can press the black activation button for 1 second only. Holding the button for more than a second at a time can damage the unit. Then you will see an electrical discharge between the electrodes. There is no need to recharge the battery after each test. Make sure the wrist strap with the disable pin is properly inserted in the bottom of the unit or it won’t discharge.

How to use a Runt Stun Gun

Touch an attacker with the outside metal contact probes while pushing the activation button. You can touch any part of the assailant’s body, but the primary target is the large muscle areas and the upper torso.

A ½ second touch will startle and repel any assailant giving him some pain and muscle contraction. A moderate 2 to 4 second touch can cause the attacker to fall to the ground and experience mental confusion. A touch of 5 seconds or more can cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation.

No sound will be heard when touching an attacker with a stun gun.  Under no condition can you suffer a charge back to your own body even if assailant is holding you. The unit cannot be damaged by continually firing the unit into someone’s body. It’s not recommended you use it as an experimental toy nor should you test fire the unit in the air for more than one second at a time to avoid discomfort or component damaged.

A full charge is 6 to 8 hours, but not more than eight. A fully charged battery should hold a charge for 3 months. If your model has a light and it is used frequently a charge will be needed more often. Under normal conditions the battery can be charged up to 900 times.
